I am PROUD to have been a member of SAC and have particapted in LINEBACKER II. I wish WITH ALL MY HEART all could have come home. I am very thankful to have been shot down, a POW and returned, so many of my friends did not, these are the HERO’s of SAC history in the Viet-Nam war. BULLDOGS and check six forever.

I am a history buff (no pun intended) and would like to welcome you to the preservation of the history of SAC and the valiant crew members that were the very beginning of SAC.

  6. I agree with Tommy! It is amazing how much SAC history has been buried away in the archives and is hard to access. Nothing is maintained in the History office at Offutt. We held a reunion of SAC/IN and 544th people last year. We wanted to produce a brochure of items. It was extremely difficult to find any documentation. It was all sent to Maxwell and they have little staff to do research. However you can go there personally and try to dig out information. It is almost as if there was a concious effort to totally kill SAC history. There are a few good books that help but those are at an unclassified level. Sites like this seem to be the best way to try to preserve SAC History.
